After 7 years of working in the Pro Shop at Royal Queensland, my time here is quickly coming to an end. The final three years of my work there has been as a PGA Trainee Professional and as of January 1, I will have completed the three-year course. During my time, I am proud to say I have been the recipient of two "Excellence in Education" Scholarships and was named 2009 Queensland Trainee of the Year.

In January I will be heading to the United Stated to compete on the Hooters Tour as I prepare for US PGA Tour Qualifying School at the end of 2011. Be sure to take a look at my website to keep up to date with my movements and results in tournaments. To those members at Royal Queensland who I have had the pleasure of knowing over the past 7 years, I thank you for making this part of my life such a awesome experience, one that I will never forget.

These are exciting times. Just last week I posted my final assignments to the PGA and what a relief it is now to have them all completed. I have a few trainee rounds left to play and will continue to work in the pro shop at Royal Queensland until the end of 2010.

As of 1st January 2011, I will have completed the three-year PGA Traineeship and will be a full member of the PGA of Australia. I would like to thank my family for all their support over the years in helping me achieve this.

I have an ambition to pursue a playing career in 2011 which will see me heading to the US to compete on the NGA Hooters Tour. Further details of my plan can be viewed by following the link below. A huge thank you to my coach, Chris Gibson, who has helped me with my game over the last 15 months. We are both very excited with where my game is heading and the improvements made in our short time working together.

This website will undergo an upgrade in the coming months which will help those who are interested to keep track of my progress and tournament results. Be sure to keep an eye out and watch this space.

March has been a big month so far. I have put together a couple of solid rounds in the past 2 weeks and am looking forward to competing in the AUDI Australian Fourball Championships at Royal Pines starting Thursday 18th. I played in the event last year with fellow Royal Queensland member Leon Brosnan. We have teamed up again this year and looking forward to a great week of golf.

On Tuesday March 2, the QLD Golf Industry Awards evening were held here in Brisbane. I am proud to say that I was named 2009 QLD PGA Trainee of the Year. Royal Queensland was also awarded QLD Metropolitan Tournament of the Year. I would like to express my thanks to all that have supported me over the years and who helped me to achieve this award.
